Milson WW1 Scout film on TV tonight

At 9pm this evening PBS America (Freeview channel 94) are screening the film charting David Bremner's quest to recreate and fly his grandfather's WW1 Bristol Scout aircraft. The aircraft was assembled at Milson Airfield in 2015/16

It is quite a poignant film in places, giving many insights into what it was like to operate an aircraft in places such as Gallipoli and the western front. Well worth a watch.

David's is a local family, from Tenbury Wells, and some of his grandfather's commentary, recorded for the Imperial War Museum sound archives, was also used in Peter Jackson's recent stunning film about the Great War.

N.H.S. 111 out of hours number change

on-going, patients across Shropshire who need urgent out-of-hours medical help or advice will need to call 111.        The NHS 111 service will replace the current out-of-hours telephone access service provided by Shropdoc in line with national policy to provide a consistent, integrated approach to urgent care; but any patients that need to see a clinician out-of-hours will still be seen by a local GP or other appropriate clinician.
